I just got back from my wonderful vacation on Tuesday night and am very sad that it is over. I had such a great time! The cruise ship I was on was huge, I have never seen anything like it and everyday the weather was absolutlely beautiful. I also went with some really great people and we honestly had the time of our lives. The cruise took us down to Key West which was great. There was lots of shopping and we went to the Southern most point of the U.S and naturally took many pictures. After that we headed down to Cozumel Mexico, which is an island, and we took a ferry over to the mainland to catch a bus to go to the Mayan ruins. They were absolutley amazing and they were on a cliff that was over the ocean. I cannot describe how beatiful this was. The water was millions of shades of blue and it was all breathtaking. The only downer was the heat! The sun is diiferent down in Mexico, it is a different kind of heat! It was 95 degrees and 100% humidity! We were all roasting out in the sun and were all drenched in sweat, it was disgusting. The heat made us look forward to the water cove we were heading to where we could swim. This was another great place where we swan with all sorts of fish and saw dolphins do tricks, it was amazing. However, later I realized along with two of my friends that I had a rash all over which turned out to be sun poisoning. I was so burnt! I could barely move because I was in so much pain and now I have the after affects of peeling everywhere. Anyway, those were the two locations we went to and when we weren't off the boat there was pleanty to do on. We went to a few shows, went on the rock climbing wall, did karaoke, swan, took swing dance lessons, went to a dance party one night, and had wonderful dinners every night. The dinners were amazing. Our waiters, one was from India the other two were from the Phillipeans, would place our napkins on our laps and treated us like royalty, it was great! I also won a free facial in a raffle on board and let me tell you it was wonderful! Anyway, I had a great trip and I wish I was still out at sea but I will take what I got, a wonderful vacation with great people.
This week I am going on a 5 day cruise to Cozamel, Mexico! I am so excited about this, I haven't been on a vacation in two years. I am going with a lot of my friends and their families and I know we will have a great time. The only thing I am worried about is the car ride down to Florida and back. I live in Ohio so this will be a long car ride. We are driving straight down without stopping and I think we all might end up killing each other by the end, lol. Luckily, on the way back we are stopping half way and staying in a hotel for the night. Anyway, while in Cozumel we are going to see the Tulum Mayna ruins and I can't wait for this. While I was in Italy two years ago, I was able to see the ruins of Pompei and loved it so I know I will love this! This is going to be a great week!
Last night I went to the midnight show of Spiderman 3 and I have to say I was little disappointed. I thought it was good but it wasn't great like Spiderman 2 was. I guess my expectations were a little too high. I felt the pace of the movie was off. The beginning moved too fast, the middle moved too slow, and then the end moved too fast again. I also thought with the amount of villains there were there would be more action but I was wrong. Now there was a lot more comedy in this one and a lot of good laughs but I think there was too much for this movie. It was really hard to be invested in the more serious scenes because of this. A lot of people laughed at parts that weren't meant to be funny and I think this was because it was really hard to switch gears. Anyway, out of 5 stars I give it a 3.
The crazy woman on the corner
Okay, I just got back from my afternoon walk with my dog and I have a story for you all. It isn't that interesting but I thought I would share it anyway. My dog Jessie and I were nearing the end of our walk and we were crossing the street and I saw a woman who lives on the corner house of the street walking her dog. I saw her watching me and was wondering why she was doing so, but I soon found out. My dog and I were passing her house and then Jessie started sniffing her yard, like all dogs do, and then I heard this woman start yelling at me. She screamed "you better get that dog away from my trees" and I yelled back "she isn't doing anything" and I just walked away to avoid a confrontation. That's when I remembered a few weeks ago my Dad came back from walking our dog and said that this woman on the corner came up to him and started cussing him out because our dog was sniffing her yard. My Dad told her that once again our dog wasn't doing anything and then this woman preceded to say he better get moving because she would come after him if he didn't. That's when my Dad started laughing and said like she could take him on anyway, lol. Anyway, I thought this whole thing was funny and this woman is a little crazy. And what is even funnier is a few days ago her dog was sniffing people's yards while she was taking it for a walk. Oh the hypocrisy!
